Exciting things

Jose_reyesHellooo! Sorry I’ve been absent of late–I’ve gotten more busy lately, and also felt a bit uninspired by the series against the Marlins. There were moments of Mets (and Pedro) greatness, but overall I wonder if our boys have lost a bit of their unbelievable fire in the 2nd half. There’s no need to worry, I just hope we kick some serious tush post-season.

In the meantime, we’ve got 2 events to be thrilled and excited about!

Jose Jose Jose Jose! Four years Four years Four years Four years! With an option for five. At a relatively inexpensive $23.25 mil. Everyone’s happy! Jose, who we know "bleeds blue and orange" according to D-Wright, will be in New York for a long time to come now. And if he only keeps improving? Then, WOW!

Mookie_1The second event to be excited about is a chance to meet Mookie Wilson in this 20th anniversary year of our last World Series victory. He’ll be appearing at the Wall Street Borders store (212-964-1988) on Thursday August 17th at 1:00 PM to sign copies of the 1986 World Series Collectors Edition DVD.

Zoe, think you’ll ever write a baseball-themed book? (for example, Stephen King wrote one where the protagonist is a Red Sox fan)

Locking up Reyes was a good move by Omar. Hopefully Wright is on deck.

Nice start by El Duque last night, but more bullpen struggles. All that really matters is they figure out their new roles by October. Here’s hoping they do!

Let’s Go Mets!

If I was there I would’ve been to your reading… oh well best of luck!🙂

Yeah nice deal with Reyes😉 I hope they get in tune once again with the re-adjusting that is happening…

Mets need to keep it up or else we will be angry with the Way WAGNER has been pitching lately. I am getting a little frustrated with his ineffectiveness to get a 1-2-3 inning for once. It really is getting to me.
